It has been a much lighter year than usual for Ethiopian coffee presence on our menu. Due to market conditions, pricing, logistics, it has been a challenge to find a truly exceptional coffee from our favorite small producers and cooperatives, including our two Good Food Award-winners. Happily, this microlot from estate owner Takele Denbi of Konga is of the same quality class we expect from the best Ethiopian coffees we reserve for our single origin offerings. Taste floral rosewater, lemon verbena, fresh-squeezed grapefruit, and caramelized mango; best as a filter brew, this coffee also performs beautifully as a longer, specialty style espresso.
