Sweet, articulate flavors of fresh-cut grapefruit and crisp apple with a brown sugar finish. Try this coffee as a batch brew, single cup pourover, or small milk and espresso beverage. The cup profile here is geared a little more toward the seasoned specialty drinker, so expect a more wild flavor experience than you may be used to.

Here’s what people who’ve ordered this coffee are tasting:

“….pristine. It tastes like black tea with apricot and incredible sweetness.”

Description

Origin: Abateraninkunga Ba Sholi Cooperative, Muhanga District, Rwanda

Sholi Cooperative is a new coffee source for us, and we’re incredibly excited by the prospect of working with them going forward! Their coffee is clean, bright, and sweet, displaying immaculate processing that honors the terroir of highland Central Rwanda. In addition, Sholi is both Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade Certified, ensuring the members of the cooperative are both being paid sustainably and the coffee is being grown and processed in a way that is environmentally friendly. We taste fresh cut grapefruit, crisp apple, and brown sugar in a cup that may appeal a little more to the specialty drinker.

My mind is blown! I heard about Compelling & Rich back in the day, but hadn’t kept up with them recently. I ordered because of a sale during the COVID-19 lockdown. This Rwanda Dukunde is pristine. It tastes like black tea with apricot and incredible sweetness. If you’re new like I was don’t hesitate on this gem. Shout out to the roaster for KILLING the game. <3
